Creating a Sense of Belonging
& Connection

Engaging & Interactive Programs

We understand that active participation and hands-on experiences are crucial for effective learning and personal growth. That's why our programs are carefully crafted to be dynamic, stimulating, and interactive. Through a variety of engaging activities, workshops, and collaborative projects, we foster an environment where youth can actively explore, question, and discover the world.

Innovative Teaching, Hands-On Learning
& International Travel

What’s better than traveling, international travel! No more sitting in a classroom or playing video games all summer. Enroll in CAYTA programs and truly see the world!

We believe in the power of experiential learning, where participants can directly apply their knowledge, develop critical skills, and build meaningful connections. By incorporating innovative teaching methods, interactive discussions, and real-world scenarios, we ensure that our programs not only educate but also captivate and inspire the youth we serve.

Each year after completing travel adventures to cultural centers, career assessments, ancestry and genealogy search, we culminate our program with a life changing journey to the country of Ghana, West Africa. Our first journey in August 2018, included visits to an orphanage along with a wide-ranging exploration of our African ancestry and history. Our journey lasted from August 26 to September 4, 2018 and continues yearly thereafter.

Soon we will begin accepting applications for our youth development and violence prevention programs on Chicago’s West Side…stay tuned!

EAA Young Eagles Build & Fly Program

This program aims to inspire and educate youth about aviation, engineering, and the thrill of flight. Participants, often referred to as Young Eagles, are introduced to the world of aviation through hands-on activities and mentorship from experienced volunteers.

“There are few programs designed to captivate our youth and show them life beyond “the block”. CAYTA was created so our youth can “catch the world” and grow beyond their limitations. Traveling pushes youth outside of their comfort zones, encouraging personal growth and self-discovery.”

— Crystal Dyer, President & Founder
